The Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025) is the biggest change to employment law and HR legislation for a generation.

From February 2026, the ERA 2025 will introduce significant changes to rules governing pay, flexible working and employee rights. These are far reaching and include changes to sick pay, parental leave, zero-hours contracts and trade union rights, as well as providing enhanced protection against unfair dismissal and sexual harassment.

The changes will be implemented on a phased basis across 2026 and 2027 and will require employers to update their employment contracts and policies to ensure compliance. In many cases, it may require a change of mind-set around recruitment, zero hours contracts and probationary periods within your business.

Are you confident you understand the new regulations and the impact they will have on your business, recruitment practices and employees?

To help you understand more about the ERA 2025 and what your business needs to do in response to the new legislation, we’ve developed a simple Compliance Health Check.

The Health Check can be accessed via the link below.

Please note that all responses are completely confidential and will only be used for the purposes of creating your report. Your organisation’s data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy which can be accessed on our 'Policies' page.

Once we have received your responses to the Health Check, we will send you a free report setting out our assessment of your organisation’s exposure to the ERA 2025, based on the information you provide. The report will cover six key areas of change, will rate your current level of preparedness in each, and set out a recommended action plan with indicative costs.
