CASE STUDY
Gangmaster Labour Abuse Authority
Representing directors interviewed under caution
Bond Legal represented two directors who were interviewed under caution by the Gangmaster Labour Abuse Authority (‘GLAA’), which is the leading intelligence and investigative agency for labour exploitation in the UK.
It had been alleged by the GLAA that the directors, who ran a recruitment agency, had placed temporary workers into a business in the food industry without the necessary GLAA accreditation. We prepared written witness statements for the directors, accompanied them to their interview under caution by the GLAA and made a number of representations on their behalf.
Following our involvement, the GLAA decided to take no further action.
